The Rap Underground North DVD
I am currently putting together a DVD of previous showcases that I will use to promote my new series of showcases. I will also consider making these DVDs available to the public. I have been trying to make contact with some of the venues in the Philadelphia PA area to find out their policies when it comes to outside promoters booking events in their rooms. I have an interest in using the Balcony at the Troc and a greater interest in the room at the Fire in Northern Liberties off of Girard Ave. I guess we will just have to wait and see but I will do another Rap Underground North showcase. If you know of anyone with an interest in performing on these showcases they can contact me at Run@masterjamrecords.com. Also look out for our web site which will be up soon at www.masterjamrecords.com as soon as I figure it out I will post pictures on this blog but once the site goes up I will have photos there as will. Until we meet again Later.

Hey My name is

Hey my name is Kenny White I am a photographer a father and a husband but I am also a visionary. I few years ago I created a platform for virtually unknown local Rap/Hip hop artists called Rap Underground North.
1992 was the year, the year the Rap Underground North made its debut in a small warehouse garage in North Philadelphia. Since it conception it has defined itself as a proving ground for unsigned rap artists and producers it was a place where these artists could develop their skills, network with other artists in an environment that supported their craft. The artists would perform on my showcases in front of an audience that was made up of their friends and peers. Our last showcase took place in the summer of 1995 that year the RUN hosted the Hip Hop showcases for that years Philadelphia Music Conference. Well we are back doing the same thing the same way but with a twist, still looking for the next big thing in Underground rap but we are also including Poets, Spoken Word artist and Hip Hop alternatives such as artist accompanied by musicians for our upcoming showcases. Were are currently researching venues and as soon as we do the hunt for talent will be on. So stay tune
